Well Cifcti has today won both of the first 2 matters to be dealt with:

 

1. Red card for slapping away the arm of an ICT player - reduced to a yellow on appeal

2. SFA citation for grabbing Shinnie - not proven!!! The headlock was a figment of our imagination.

 

Hearing at a later date to discuss putting his hand on the linesman's throat.

I see Ciftci has today received a two match ban for placing his hand on the linesman's neck.

Im sure he will be delighted to get off so lightly. He could have been Fryed by the SFA, but he walks away tasting off chocolate.

Ciftci's going to miss a lot of games through injury so in a way he's not really being punished at all! Even if they'd hit him with a 6 game ban it wouldn't make any difference as he'd be side-lined anyway. It would be better if the bans were effective only when the player is fit for selection as he's not going to actually miss any games he could have played in!
