I agree with IHE, the game today was crying out for Ian Black to get in the middle of the park.

I actually think we were very comfortable today, rarely looked liked conceding, though we never looked like scoring either, the 1-0 win came from a defensive mix up that started with Duncan.

Today I made Duncan the biggest villan, as I've said before he is an absolute waste of a shirt, a total waste of time, we've been waiting for year for him to come good.  Let me say this now folks, this is the sad honest truth, RUSSEL DUNCAN IS THE WORST PLAYER IN THE CURRENT STARTING ELEVEN.

Brewster and the Lothian and Borders Police can GTF.  Threw a very young Caley fan out today (yet ignored the 40+ adults who questioned them) and cornered a couple of young fans outside the ground to 'explain' the standing up rules to them.  Shocking behavior, away from the football itd be classed as police harassment and bullying, there would be a court case and the Officers involved conduct would be put infront of a judge..... but alas it was at a football game and it will either be ignored or the young fan will face some kind of ban.

Football really has to join the real world, where civil liberties are still respected!

Immortal Howden Ender,  I believe Craig could be walking soon as why else would John Robertson be employed by ORION Group.  I for one would welcome back Robbo with open arms and that failing i would have Pat Fenlon.

I really want Brew to GTF sooner rather than later and by the way i WAS AGAINST his re-appointment at the time.

Aye, quite agree with that. The Lothians & Borders Police were totally out of order this afternoon, both inside and outside the ground. After the match four mounted officers "shepherded" a small group of young ICT fans down Dalry Road towards Haymarket Station and none too pleasantly either. This left a very bad taste in the mouth indeed. Pity they wouldn't concentrate their efforts on the real louts and criminals. Young lads of course can't fight back like some of the gangsters they're too feart to take on. Quite disgusting.

Hastings  :015: :015: Okay but better at left back.

Proctor  :015: :015: Not that great a centre back, better on the wing.

McBain :015: :015: :015: Not bad.

Wilson  :015: :015: :015: Defenitely one to keep.

Duncan  :015: Please leave, utter garbage.

Cowie  :015: :015: :015: Not too bad but has been better.  Move to the wing I say.

Imrie  :015: :015: :015: Seems to get better with every game.

Wyness  :015: Past it big time

Niculae  :015: :015: Not good at all

Subs:

Paatelainen  :015: Not a right winger.

McAllister  :015: :015: Did little when he came on.

Bayne  :015: :015: Okay when he came on.

Pie  :015: :015: :015: :015: Very good

Crowd  :015: :015: :015: :015: Really good but singing the council tax song before anything has happened is just asking for trouble.

Tynescastle  :020: It's the Everst of football stadiums.

Brewster  :020: :33: :020: Leave now, this hoof hoof hoof stuff never works, when will this nutter ever learn.

Brewster should have been fired three weeks ago , if not before. I really can't see why he is still around.

A new manager has to have some time to settle , and if the club waits all I can see is losing players and once again

  not replacing them this summer.

I'm gonna be unpopular for saying this but here goes...  I think the cops are takin a bit too much flak here. I was sitting at the end of the row next to the lads who got flung out and I had a word with the female officer (who was thoroughly decent) after she had spoken to the boys the first time just before half time.  She agreed with me that the banter between sets of fans was sublime but what they had the problem with was not that the boys were standing up, but goading the other fans (both groups were doing it) who were only seperated from each other by a rotund steward (the sex offender) who couldnt have sprung into action with a written invitation never mind if a fight had broken out and another steward who was also totally anonymous until the cops came up.  I even heard her get on the radio and tell her gaffer that nothing outrageous was being said and the boys should be left alone.

She was being chatty because she wanted to find out where the boys had come from (obviously thought I might know - I didn't) and she knew they hadn't come down on a supporter's bus, so they'd been watching everyone since before they even got into the stadium.  What she said to me was that they didn't want to spoil the craic and thats why they didn't tell the boys to sit down the first time they were spoken to. She was also talking about what they can do with fans who don't do as they're asked i.e. remove the entire row of fans resulting in the loss of those fan's home ground season tickets.  So the cops were giving the boys plenty chances.

Anyway, the game went on and Hearts scored and a couple of our boys jumped into the stairs and started winding up the Hearts fans (one of whom got his badge of honour by getting flung out right at the end).  If they hadn't done that the police wouldn't have come back up.  Fair play to the older folk who stood up and stuck up for the boys because they thought they were being harrassed for standing but the fact is they weren't being picked on for standing, it was because of the "aye, come on then, outside now, lets go" chat that was going back and forth between the fans.  It also didn't help that the boys didnt do what they were told by the 8 foot tall copper without being told 3 times.  I mean come on lads, you're not gonna win in that situation no matter how many white lightnings you've put away ;)

As I said already the atmosphere was great and it was made by the boy's songs.  I was creasing myself for half the game with the "you look like a sex offender", "oh f*ckin sheep is wonderful", "HIV capital" and "glad to hear you're still alive" shouts. Keep it up next time but be cool in front of the cops lads.  Fair enough, the stewards often pick on folk because they're d1cks but the cops don't get involved without a reason.

I was at the game today sat amongst the controversial fans. I have to say that both parties had some blame to take. I failed to realise why two sets of supporters were in the same stand when from where I could see there was clearly extra space for the home fans in the other three stands, furthermore the insults between fans did not seem more severe than at any other game. Having both sets of fans in one stand was just petrol on the fire and it baffles me that the organisers did not realise this.

I admit that once the group had been told by the police to sit down they should have sat down. I made a point of sitting down  when told. Rules are rules and continuing to stand could have only made the situation worse.

Once outside the ground it was made unclear that the proceedures for an escort to the station were in place. This was exaspertaed by the police being rough and intolerant.

It was not explained why these proceedures were being carried out. As far as I was concerned the behaviour was of simelar standard to other games both home and away.  The chants that were sung were sung at Hibs away in the Scottish Cup yet there was no problem there. In fact as far as I am aware there was no verbal exchanges between fans and stewerds/police at that particular game. The number of away support was roughly the same if not smaller today than at that game.

Once again I understand that the police are there to do a job and I am glad they are there, however the way things were handled today only seemed to make the situation worse and ruin peoples day. I work hard both in my studies and at work and rarely get a chance to go and watch my team outside of Inverness. I obeyed the police and stewerds when spoken to as part of a group yet I was made to feel like a criminal and it was never justified to me why I was being treated in this way. I had a fun day today dispite this sour experiance. It will not stop me following my team away and rest assured it will not stop that particular group of fans either.

"oh f*ckin sheep is wonderful",

oh FLUFFY sheep are wonderful ...

Otherwise, I think the guys at the back of the stand did overstep the mark once the Police had first gotten involved with them, but the initial contact between ICT fans and police was regarding standing up only.

The police maybe didn't explain themselves properly when they came up the first time.  I noticed they did say to sit down at that time, however they let the boys stand almost till the end of the game.  Remember I asked the policewoman what the script was and she told me that it was because of the goading between the fans that they had come up.

ps. Fluffy sheep are wonderful, but f*ckin them is where its at.

The boy that got chucked out did not run onto the stairs winding up the hearts fans - he was sat in the seat infront of me and he got ejected because when the police officer(the cheeky one! :004:) tried to push him into his seat he resisted.

Also, the police escort back to the station was OTT as we weren't allowed to even go in to any shops to get food, or even 2 a bank that we passed when i needed to get money out! If it wasn't for the genirosity of my friends, i would have had to go till 9 without any food! Instead i had to settle for the ridiculously overpriced train food. Bad times!

You got to laugh when they sang the song about hats and council tax, when most of the folk singing it aren't old enough to pay tax.  :rotflmao:

Have to go a bit more in depth now - Clacher - comfortable at the back - Hearts missed three clear cut chances in both the first and last ten minutes - If it wasnt fer soem woeful finishing and Mike Fraser we could have got absolutely leathered.

Opposition teams are learning the trick of playing pace against Rosscoe - not exactly helped by having Bazza in front of him - but Rosscoe really struggled at times. I thought it was worth a go trying Hastings at centre back - and as I said he defended fairly well but distribution - dear me. Proctor lacks the physical presence and the stature to play in the centre defence - and I wonder if Brew played Roy at left back deliberately or becos he had little other option - probably the latter but I resally hope that he persists.

Bazza is not a 90 minute man away from home and gawd knows what role Don Cowie was given - he should be the man busting a gut to support the front man / men but he has to play a lot deeper in a 4-4-2. Imrie is worth perserving with but he looks out of his league at times.

It has been quite clear that Denzil is rock bottom in confidence and will never be motivated as long as Brew is in charge - So why play him - especially after his last two performances ??

But there again play a 4-4-2 when Tynecastle is always a stonewall 4-5-1 - was it to prove himself right to all the punters about Dennis or was it to wind up Ian Black.

Niculae strolled through the game - but not in the class sense - to be fair the supply was limited but so was his movement - and why is he allowed to drop so deep ?

Patti on fer Bazza and played wide right  :029:

Another tactical disater for Mr Brewster - third in a row away from home.  :008:

Is a 1-0 defeat at tynecastle really such a terrible result??  :017: Are we better than the old firm now??  Let's keep our feet on the ground guys. :32: Sorry if I sound like charlie lol.

I see your point but if you had seen quite how bad Hearts were yesterday, how badly ICT played and how many easy goals Hearts missed yesterday you may take a different stance, it was a terrible game of football and a shocking performance from Inverness, if we had been playing a top 6 team that could have been 6 or 7 nil, seriously.

I agree. The amazing thing about the game was how long it took Hearts to score. They had most of the possession and most of the shots on goal and an endless number of corners.

NoEs, you make interesting points about the standing confrontation. I was one of the people who stood up until the end, and although I did feel a moral victory had been scored over the right for Inverness fans to stand (when half of the Hearts' shed was standing), I did cringe when the boys starting singing "Cheerio, cheerio" to the police. That wasn't necessary, and if I'd been the police I would have been tempted to go right back up and throw them out after all. No need to try and ridicule the police.

But great singing indeed, "We might shag sheep but we don't have Aids", being my favourite...

I'm not paying to watch pish like that next season. Get a manager who knows what he's doing. Even Robbo was better than this.

I mind we played a 4 - 4 - 2 at Tynie with Brewster and Dargo and we murdered them in a 0 - 0 draw. I don't think we currently have the players to do that formation effectively away from home.

WOW - I agree again  :003: I was meaning with the squad that we have - A forward with pace and two forward players willing to work hard with movement and tracking back is different - but we dont have any at the moment.
