Was it the roving Setanta camera? Or the police camera? Or was it the BBC preparing for the demise of ICT?

It was the Police - they were filming the North Stand for a while - I don't know if they had filmed the Main/south stands.

i hope they throw the tape of the stands emptying on the board's desk and tell them this is bing caused by Brew and only they or a hitman with a pocketful of cash can solve this problem. But what do the board care as long as we were already there after paying Brew must go!

Gathering evidence of what? Evidence of people actually giving a toss about our club? Do ICT believe that going after the fans who care enough about the club to stand up and be counted will achieve anything?

Who else thinks that these "business men" think that they can turn the crowd into the same type of "yes men" that they surround themselves in business?

Let me tell you, the people entrusted to run our club or business as you like to look at it, that football may be a business in this day and age to those that run it but to us fans it is still football, it is still the reason for slaving through the week, it is still what makes us tick, it is still looking forward to Satursday. Football is far more than selling a advertising hoardings and corporate lunches. Football is life, our life. Do not underestimate the fans, bigger and better Boards of directors at bigger and better clubs than ours have made that mistake way too often. The invitation is open, speak to us, we are the life of this club you wont survive ten minutes without us. ICT and it's fans will survive long after your tenure is over.

To borrow Scotty's signature and quote from a chairman who knew what the fans were to a football club.

"Chairmen come and go, boards come and go but the fans remain.

They are the one true constant." Eddie Thompson

CaleyD stuck to his guns and refused to remove the banner so the stewards just gave up. Feck knows why they were filming. They can ban me anyway, doubtful whether I'll be back at TCS before the end of the season.

Glad to hear CaleyD stood firm. thats what is needed here. No point in half hearted efforts. Ad wager if it was one of the young ones at TCS, the stewards would have chucked them out. But coz its a grown man........

Was it a reasonable effort in getting the Brew message over? How many were involved?

I noticed them filming sections D to about G when in the second half the fans were singing "Brewster, Brewster, get tae f**k". Surely if we pay our money and come every week we can have our say on how our club is run. The club have no reason to complain. p.s Good on you Caley D as well! As you can tell Mike Smith and the others in the mob what your feelings are in the current situation. :rotflmao:

The only reasons I can think of Graham for wanting to film us are:

1. Sectarianism (no such thing in ICT support though)

2. The club wanting to find what negative things the fans think of Brewster and the board (long shot however)

3. Banning fans for what the tannoy guy reminds us of every game which is "Unacceptable Behaviour" (linked to other two)

They have no right to film us without our permission.

They would appear to have been filming any fans who were noted signing "Brewster get to f**k" after the third goal. The camera was located on those in Section G and also those at the front of Section D/E. I guess it is simply to have an idea of who the "trouble makers" are (in the clubs eyes).

I doubt the club would request two police officers to be on duty at this game only, so that they can film any home supporters shouting offensive remarks.

I noticed them at the start of the game and although i cant be sure, i think they were videoing the crowd in all areas of the ground (including the away support).

My guess would be that they are part of a specialist unit who travel compiling evidence of various crowd issues at spl football grounds.

But I shall find out for sure tomorrow!! :rotflmao:

I am sure the club will have been aware of the threads on this forum in the run up to the game talking about protests and anti Brewster chants.

I doubt this will have been some kind of coincidence but will we told anyway?

There was a camera on the stanchion holding up the roof of the main stand at the Bridge End, pointing at the North Stand - I'm not the most observant of people but I can't remember seeing it before as I eat my half-time Kitkat (one bar for a draw, two for a goal deficit, three for impending disaster, and I ate all four today).

This is so far away from that glorious May day when the league trophy arrived as to be unrecognisable.

Good thinking. I thought I saw something similar of these at Tannadice a few months ago but I may be wrong

Again this could be a possibility as the club may have looked on the site to see the fans views or to punish supporters who take their Brewster protests "too far". But what exactly is "too far"?

I have long held the opinion that only the 'Fat Cats' in hospitality are of any real priority to the club management of ICT. For long enough the punters who couldn't afford a seat in the Main Stand had to stand out in the wind and the rain while the Fat Cats lounged in the sheltered zone at the top of the Main Stand (or watched through glass). Also, for long enough the club complained about the lack of atmosphere from the fans (kinda difficult to generate sound when suffering from hypothermia). When we did get a modicum of comfort for the lower echelons (North Stand - by compulsion from the SPL) we then started to get some noise, fun and atmosphere - much to the discontent of the club it seems - only to get picked on by the yellow-clad Thought Police. The slightest indication of someone getting to their feet and they are threatened with being chucked out. Home fans are the easy targets for the Yellows. Meanwhile, away fans can stand for the entire match - and even invade the pitch - and nothing is ever done by those in yellow. Today, one of our club's loyal stalwarts displayed a placard offering his best advice for the club he loves and is threatened by the men in yellow.

ICT has a shocking history of treating its most loyal fans like dirt. Little surprise then that we see the North Stand starting to empty. This club needs to change its attitude to the ordinary, diehard, faithful supporter. I am tired of seeing photos in the programme of the Fat Cats in 'hospitality'. I would rather see photos in the programme of those loyal souls who travel huge distances (at great expense and often at great inconvenience and sacrifice) to follow ICT, those who are there in all weathers, those who are there faithfully to watch their club get beaten regularly - rather than see photos of groups of fairweather supporters out on a freebie, particularly for the big matches.

Yes, I know the club needs Hospitality customers to bring cash in but I would rather see a packed, vibrant, noisy North Stand and an empty Hospitality Lounge than vice versa.

I suggest that the Chairman should offer an apology to Caley D for his treatment by the stewards today and for intimidating genuine ICT fans with security cameras. That would be a start.

the lad next to me, section e , noticed we were being filmed whilst giving it brewster gtf etc . gave them a wee wave anyway. dont remember giving my permission to being filmed but its probably somewhere in some small print.

remember seeing this camera once before v rangers but believe they were just filming their mob for sectarian nonsense but it does seem more than a bit shady they turn up today and in the home support.

noticed a definate increased police presence too especially at the front door after the game and doubt the two are not connected but maybe being paranoid.

at the end of the day i dont really give a ****. this is just the start of it unless brewster gets his jotters.

on the subject of behavior, the tannoy announcement crap thats read out every game about a " long list of unacceptable behavior under club and spl rules" blah blah blah, does this include actions in the dugout and on the pitch because thats been fu*kcing unacceptable all season ?

It would be, but this probably goes a wee bit further than football on a Saturday afternoon :rotflmao:

Quite unbelievable...what has happened to MY club?

I was at a game in Cyprus this year where every seat had a flare for every fan to set off at the start of the game. The atmosphere was electric and fiery, very fiery and very hot n smokey! (The kids that were playing with several dozen nicked from seats were a worry I will admit but...we all got out alive.) Still, it inspired the home team to a good win.

Now, my first venture to TCS for 5 years or so and the loyal support want to send a message to the club. For the first time in my life I see an "Evidence Gathering Team" filming genuine ICT supporters with legitimate flags/banners. What f*cking control freak thought that was good PR?

Meantime upstairs at Police Control we are being scrutinised by Plod...yes guys I saw you with your binoculars.

I've been reading some weird accounts on here in the last year but I see what has been said is complete truth...we are a club in freefall.

The board is bankrupt, the stewarding is bankrupt, the security is bankrupt, the team are plain sh!te, the club shop...oh dear me, and our manager is an embarrassment...

...I used to be proud to say I'm a shareholder...

Ha!
