Quick bump of this thread to remind people of the Race Night on Friday Evening.

Thanks for bumping it up, Don. It may be of interest to some that we hope to have members of the new ICT Events Committee in attendence so come along and give them YOUR ideas.

Cant make it but I have one simple suggestion for them ......

CO-ORDINATE Supporters Trust, Football Club and Supporters Club events so they dont clash or happen too close together .... even joint events where each entity might make slightly less money is surely preferable to several events where people are forced to choose which ones to go to either because of dates or economics

Good idea, Scotty. However, when the Supporters Club committee decided on the date for their Race Night, they were not aware that it would clash with Gringo Jnr's wedding since none of us had been invited.

I wasnt meaning Gringo Jnrs wedding per say ... but to have a race night on the 12th for one ICT group and another on the 26th for a different group doesnt seem to make sense (for either body). The same applies at the end of the season when it seems to be a scramble to organise different end of season parties.

I think that the end of season issue could be resolved this year, but we'll have to wait and see how things develop.

Thought it might be helpful to let you know the sorts of projects which benefit from the Supporters' Trust fundraising. Much of our funds do find their way back into the hands of the football club, but only to fund specific projects. We have agreed to assist with the funding of the travel for the youth teams who (like the first team) are greatly disadvantaged by our location and therefore have much higher travel costs. We have assisted youth and community on other occasions also and will continue to do so.

We have sponsored the Street League this season giving them some much needed equipment. Funding grass roots and community initiatives are very much part of our remit.

We obviously have purchased some season tickets for youth groups/schools to apply for (should be a bit in the Highland News this week).

We have also supported a few smaller initiatives and we will be involved in a primary school olympic games event in the very near future.

We were very happy to work with Barry's testimonial committee which was a great success and worked very well to everyones advantage.

If you have any ideas for fundraising or are aware of any projects which we might be able to support then give us a shout via our new mailbox.

Meantime just come along on Friday night and part with some of your hard earned cash so that we can continue to support these initiatives

Yes thank you I had forgotten, they do look a bit better now.

I'm sure there are lots of other things I have missed but just wanted to give people an idea of what we do with the money we raise.
