It could be Scotland's version of Madame Tussauds - as a matter of interest are there any other Englishmen on the list ?

The only english born person in the Hall of Fame that I can see in the list is... Andy Goram

To be fair, Dalglish, Law, Best etc are in England's Hall of Fame http://en.wikipedia....ll_Hall_of_Fame - it's for the league, not the 50 caps international team.

Even allowing he only played for 4 seasons for rangers , hardly hall of fame material !

won numerous trophies there managed motherwell for 5-6 years and has now been our manager for almost 3 years over 10 years in scottish football plus he has been assistant manager for the national team id say hes been a good servant to scottish football

Given that he was also Manager of Motherwell, Manager of ICT, and Assistant Manager for the National Team, he has spent more time in Scotland than some of the players who might eventually make it into the hall of fame on the number of caps received !!!

PS: Inductees are picked each year by fans and a committee selects the eight finalists who are inducted at an annual dinner.

This has probably got as much to do with his "likeability" factor - probably got a lot of Rangers fan votes after the 3-1 and undoubtedly a fair share of Highlander nominees.

The fact that his background is so staunchly English makes this a very, very unusual "award" but again that shows his undoubted personality and charisma - and something that we could utilise for years and years.

Captained a terrific and successful Rangers side, brought Motherwell back from the dead, helped produce talents like James McFadden, guided them to a scottish cup final. Then he came here, brought us back to the SPL at the first time of asking, an achievment matched by only one other manager in the last 15 years who at one point was the national manager...yeah Butch is well average.
