I gave you a 'like' there when I saw a list of odds before I had the chance to digest them! So I 'unliked' it - but have now 're-liked' it 'cos it gave me a laugh!

No odds available yet - I've been hunting. I can't see there being a book opened until Terry's officially gone - some bookies still offering 'Next Hibs Manager' odds.

Coral 1/7 - I've stuck £46 on as that's all I've left in that account - like to think I've (for once) caught the bookies napping! I genuinely hope I lose my bets though. Gutted at the developments.

If Robbo is considered to be desperate then  some others of us could opine that he is simply  an active man aggressively trying to improve his future prospects and should be given the respect he is due for not sitting around and just moping about the fact that he has not been in the Management frame for quite a long time instead of getting on with his search. I admire him for that. Robbo is not  a nyaff, he's an aggressive fella who gets off his mark to keep his pot boiling.

I don't envy him because who else is going to get him a decent job with prospects? Good luck to him I say and, if he was hired on at ICT , I believe that he would put a lot of effort into improving this club. For sure he appears to love the game and has been keeping into touch with all the other footie personalities around so, there you go. We could do a lot worse imho.

If Terry did not have his two assistants  to help him, where would he have been I wonder.? This is a speculative comment but not intended to be disparaging --just reviewing  the past realities  and the luck of the draw that he managed to engineer.

After he goes, there won't be too many Managers that can obtain loanees from England so we had better look around for a Manager that is well-versed in Scottish football, has sympathetic contacts  and can identify talent with a purpose in mind when he sees it.

Todays John O'Groat Journal says that Barry Wilson is interested in vacancy, not sure how that'd go down with fans of Wick as they've already seen Kirkwood go to Brora so they'd no doubt be angry if he left them.

Far to early in Barry's managerial career to be taking the reins at ICT.

Too soon for Barry Wilson, I feel. I imagine he has designs on the ICT job in the future, however. A 'natural' stepping-stone for him would be going into the SPFL first with Elgin City and then, if he does well, look to go higher - then it could be us!

As are, I would imagine, the majority of football managers in Scotland.

Don't agree with it being too soon for Barry, Neil Lennon came to Celtic with no experience, it happens all the time these days! But I'm not convinced he's the man for the job .....

John Collins

Jim Jeffries

Craig Levein

Duncan Shearer

John Robertson

Alex mcleish

Paul Hartley

Jimmy calderwood

I'd consider any of those

John Collins - Could be a possibility, although you have to wonder why no-one wanted him other than Livingston in the last few years.
Jim Jeffries - No thanks.  Old school, struggled latterly at Killie and hasn't done that well at the Pars.
Craig Levein - Possibility.  Shocking Scotland manager but has been a very capable SPL manager with Hearts and United.
Duncan Shearer - No.
John Robertson - No.  I think our players made him seem a better manager than he was and he has failed everywhere else, including in the League of Ireland and East Fife.
Alex McLeish - He's past it in England but it might be interesting to see how he did with an SPL side.  Turned out pretty dour teams of late.
Paul Hartley - Up and comer with clear talent and prospects but it'd be a risk.  These things can go either way.
Jimmy calderwood - Absolutely no chance.  Complete ersehile, old school SFA Largs dick of a manager.

Barry Wilson - Maybe a little too soon.  Has anyone ever jumped from managing non-league to the SPL?  He has no experience of full time football as a coach/manager, no contacts in the transfer market.  He'd be better as a number two at the moment.

A huge difference in opinion regardless of the names mentioned! There will be a lot of fans p***ed off at the appointment - whoever it may be!

It really is the end of an era. Hopefully, whoever gets the job gets the backing of our fans!

There is little doubt they will. Whatever reservations any of us may have, not a single ICT manager started out without the backing of the fans and over the years only Baltacha and Brewster, second time around, lost it.

Just to throw another name into the mix, after the mention of Barry Ferguson, who I would not be against ( as he is well respected in the game to attract better players to come to play for him )

How about Kenny Miller, as he is seemingly looking to come back to Scotland.Ideal opportunity to for a young ambitious and hungry manager, if thats what the board will be looking for.

Who knows? Kenny Miller may actually be in the frame to replace Martin Rennie at the Vancouver Whitecaps.

But, no, I don't quite think that he has been in Canada long enough to have sussed out all the subtleties of this country yet. The MLS covers a huge territory--Canada and the U.S.

Think if we can hold on to Malpas and Marsella then we should take in a young manager to work alongside them such as Barry Wilson, Paul Sheerin or Paul Hartley. If we cant keep hold of them then I think Kevin MacDonald or Alex Mcleish would be great.

I see no reason to take on John Collins.  He had a cup run.  Very nice, but average in the league, plus a players revolt.  Nothing to cling to there.

Barry Ferguson dissed the Scottish meeja, rather than the fans. But I don't see he's got anything we desperately need.  He's always be looking at Lanarkshire.

Jim Jefferies was a great manager for Hearts and Falkirk, plus decent for most of the time with Killie.  But, towards the end, it seemed like he had settled for retirement.  Can't fault what he's doing at the Pars. What chance has he got with their troubles?  Certainly wouldn't complain but I'm not sure he's got the ambition anymore.

Levein has been good with clubs. Bit worried he was shown up at Scotland, but then, it's a completely different scenario.  I'd sooner Burley.  Amazing with Hearts and Ipswich and specialises in getting hidden talents.  Likewise, McLeish only did well at Scotland (which is different) and Hibs.  Not bad but not great at Motherwell and average to poor everywhere else.

No problem with Robbo.  Donald Park as assistant too?  Not bad. Worth an interview.

I would go for Jimmy Calderwood.  A great success at Aberdeen and Dunfermline in the league (just take a look at the before and after).  Did fine at Killie too and supposedly good in his Dutch career.  Can't see why he gets the blame for spending.  The directors set the limit, then the manager follows it.  He'd be daft not to spend what he's been given.
