Thinking of coming up for this one. How far is the ground from the train station, can't seem to remember!

15 - 20 minutes walk.

Or get a 1, 2, 13 (not 13A!) along King Street. Get off at Merkland Road.

Or get the 14 which will take you to the back of Pittodrie by the **** Donald stand.

Further by Taxi as it has to go round the one way system

What one way system? Taxi from the station (which has been refurbished by the way so things are laid out differently) would take you most likely to King Street and down Pittodrie Street or you will go along Park Street/Road and drop you off behind Pittodrie (like the number 14 bus)  :003:

It's not exactly a one way system, but a taxi would have to go up and around Bridge Street and Union St to take you on to King St, whereas walking you could cut that corner off.

If going the other way then the Taxi would still have to go round Wapping St to bring them back round on to Guild St before heading round and taking Park St off the roundabout.

Might not be significantly shorter to walk, but it is shorter.

Ah right got you! There's a fair bit of work going around that area just now with the Union Square project ramping up a gear. Few restrictions and diversions in place and only set to get worse when Market Street has more roadworks at the start of August. Best thing is then to walk to either the Back Wynd off Union Street or another taxi rank to get a taxi. But the one way system around the station, depending on the time of day, won't add to much to the journey I wouldn't have thought.

Outbound - 08:42 gets you in at 10:43 - 10:44 gets you in at 12:59 - 12:19 gets you in at 14:31

Inbound - 17:15 (if you can fly from the game) gets you home at 19:34 - 18:21 gets you home at 20:31

Looks like the cost is ?26 return as the cheapo fairs are only available on trains not suitable unless you want to get there at 8 in the morning and leave at 10 at night.

A lot of the cheap singles (which formed the old APEX) will have gone long ago. A fair few folk will be through from Keith, Inverurie, Dyce will be through for this game on those trains.

Guest birdog

where is that?

It's the 'spoons at the top of union street.

Archibald Simpson's I think is it's full name. It's at the Shittodrie end of Union St on the last building on the left hand side facing Shittodrie. Nice and cheap. It's fecking cold in there in the winter (useless piece of info but I like to be warm whilst drinking a pint)
