Not at the game today

My reason is First ScotRail delaying a train for an hour then deciding to cancel it 15 minutes before we were due to leave, ask a very irritated GringoJnr for details.

Brew Army.........Arent Scotrail obliged to pay for a taxi to your destination if a train is cancellled? I have heard of it happening before. In fact......there was a taxi driver on Your Call last week taking passanger/s from glasgow to fort william for that very reason, and he sed the rail company were picking up the tab!

Regardless....thats **** craic!

This was not told to me and I am in the process of writing a letter of complaint with regards to the service I was offered which I was very p***ed off about.

Indeed, myself and Brew Army (along with 2 close Utd fans of ours) intended to head to the game today.

Train was due out of Inverness 1044. The queue system at the ticket office was dire and the staff less than helpful when the delay was realised.

the train was due from Glasgow (1132) then turn about to Edinburgh @ 1150 (the idea to change at perth and get to the stadium close to kick-off).

No update announcements, no details on the departure boards and the man in the ticket office said he 'wasn't bothered'.

We even tried to get onto the Aberdeen service for a connection, but the guard told us to ask in the ticket office for permission... strange as she would have been in charge of this service?

Another long wait in the queue meant we missed that one too - then the news of our cancellation.

What a farce it all turned out to be!!! The earliest we could then make dundee was 1615 on the bus... shocking service and we were even messed about for any refunds...

I suppose I could have walked it, but the lack of corned beef sarnies and no maps to hand made this near on impossible. lol

The refunds are now sorted Rob, I finally found a nice member of staff on the telephone.

"I can go to home games when I'm not working"

Are you saying there is soemthing wrong with that.

I would go to away games, but spending nearly ?60 to watch us lose doesn't really appeal to me tbh.

Point 1. My comment wasn't directed at you. It was directed (with a whistley) at the person who doesn't want to spend so much on away games.

Point 2. I have a 220 mile round trip and spend a damn sight more than ?60 to watch us lose at home. But then I'm a supporter regardless.
