Useless SPL Trivia

Just read a piece of useless trivia...

Can anyone name the only manager to manage full-time 3 SPL clubs?

ie. caretakers dont count

they have to have managed the club in the SPL. ie you cant say steve paterson has two (ict and aberdeen) cos he never managed ict in the spl.

This is SPL (since it was formed in 1998).

have a go. or a guess. :004:

Can we name him yet? He was rumoured on the Hibs job for about 5 seconds which would have been his 4th.

indeed it would have been ... but he reportedly is a supporter of them despite his record against them

If it turned out not to be Mcleish...it would be because he he left Motherwell to take over at hibs in 1998. So..... if that took place pre season, that would discount him from managing 3 teams since SPL was formed.

I was thinking Robbo - Livi (asst), ICT, Hearts, Livi (mgr) but now know I am wrong as I had forgotten that Lambert got them relegated before Robbo took over.

The correct answer is.... Robbo!

Managed ICT between August-October (maybe November not sure) 2004, (2/3 months)

Managed Hearts between November-May 2005 (7 months)

Managed Livi between February-May 2006 (2 and a half months)

So Scotty, he did manage Livi in the SPL but only for a couple of months. Lambert left in February and replaced by Robbo, then they went down in May.

McLeish's reign at Well was pre-SPL, so he doesnt count.

And no Brew having two spells doesnt count lol.

Good effort. Scotty came closest, but changed his mind. tut tut! lol
